Shipping costs
Shipping is free on most of our generators. Any applicable shipping charges are clearly displayed before you complete your order.
Order tracking
A confirmation email is sent as soon as your generator is dispatched, including a tracking number. You can follow your parcel's progress in real time.
When your generator arrives
- Inspect the packaging before opening — report any visible damage to the delivery driver
- Take photos of the parcel if you notice any damage
- Check the contents: generator, DC 12V cable, maintenance kit, user manual
- Test the generator briefly before any permanent installation
Returns & Refunds
Your rights
Under European consumer regulations, you benefit from a 14-day cooling-off period after receiving your order. This right can be exercised without providing any specific reason. All our products are also covered by the 2-year statutory warranty of conformity.
How to make a return
Contact our customer service
Email us at contact@maxpeedingrods.lu with your order number, the generator model reference and the reason for your return. If the product is damaged, please include photos.
Receive your return instructions
We will send you a return authorisation number, a return label (where applicable) and the shipping address.
Prepare your parcel
- Place the generator back in its original packaging
- Include all accessories (DC cable, maintenance kit, manual)
- Drain the fuel tank and engine oil before shipping
- Protect the original box with outer packaging
- Enclose the return slip provided
Ship it
Drop off your parcel at the collection point indicated on the return label. Keep the proof of posting and tracking number.

Our generators weigh between 12 and 45 kg. For change-of-mind returns, we recommend tracked and insured shipping.

Warranty
2-year statutory warranty
All Maxpeedingrods generators sold on our site are covered by the 2-year statutory warranty of conformity. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions not caused by the user.
What is covered
- Spontaneous engine failures
- Alternator or inverter defects
- Electrical issues (outlets, USB ports, starting system)
- Visible manufacturing defects
- Missing parts on delivery
What is not covered
- Normal wear of service parts (spark plug, air filter, oil)
- Damage from unsuitable or poor-quality fuel
- Use not in accordance with the manual
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs
- Transit damage not reported on receipt
Frequently asked questions
If you simply started the generator to test it, a return is still possible within the 14-day period. However, a generator that has clearly been used (signs of wear, dirt, fuel residue) may be refused.
Photograph the packaging and product from all angles immediately, then contact us at contact@maxpeedingrods.lu within 48 hours. Keep the original packaging. The return and replacement will be fully covered.
Of course. You benefit from the 14-day withdrawal right. Return the generator in its original condition and place a new order for the model you need. Return shipping costs are your responsibility in this case.
Yes, absolutely. A generator containing fuel is classified as hazardous material and will be refused by the carrier. Drain the tank and engine oil before preparing your parcel.
Allow approximately 10 to 20 business days between dispatching your return and the credit appearing on your bank account. This includes transit, product inspection and bank processing time.
